1st Tournament - Blounts Creek

Results from tournament:

Thank you to everyone who made it out to this year's first tournament in Blounts Creek. It was a great day to have everyone together and an even better day for fishing! We had a total of 24 anglers wishing.

1st place in the main tournament John Davis with a total weight (2 fish) of 9 lbs 5.2 oz.

2nd place was Jerry Fountain Arron Coobs with 9 lbs 4.1 oz

3rd place was Arron Coobs with 9 lbs 4.1 oz

Sean Braly won the largest trout with a trout weighing 3 lbs 5 oz.

No one caught a Red Drum Today so the Money will be transferred to the next tournament so that means it will just be more money for the larges red next tournament.

2nd Tournament - Belhaven

Here we have the results on the 2nd annual Casting Coastal Belhaven Shootout.

Main tournament (4 longest trout)

1st - Will Davis with 84.5"

2nd - Kenny Davis with 81.5"

3rd - Bon Tyre with 78.75

Longest Trout winner

With a 24" trout is Will Davis.

Longest redfish winner

With a 25" redfish is Cory Laguna

Also I'm glad to see more people coming to just fish also simply to get to know people and to learn more about how the tournaments work and to become a better fisherman.

Next tournament will be at Fort Fisher on April 13th and that will be a very interesting tournament! Hope to see you all there.

We had our best tournament attendance ever for the Beaufort Slam and topped it off with being able to hold the awards at Trusty Sail & Paddle where they had some home cooked food waiting for us! We are so grateful for this family of amazing people we have had the pleasure of growing with and growing closer to over the past 3 years since we started doing tournaments. It was the last day of flounder season and there were four flounder that was measured. I would like to thank everyone for attending whether you entered the tournament or just came out to fish! The wind was nice in the morning till lunchtime but there was some fish caught. Heard of tons of flounder caught too bad they were out of season. Along with some blue fish and a nice sheepshead. Don’t forget this was part of our this was the third part of the trout series which will be update tomorrow.

Here we have the results on the 7th annual Casting Coastal Dawson’s Creek Trout Tournament.

Main tournament (4 longest trout)

1st - Will Davis with 83.25"

2nd – Sean Braly with 77"

3rd – Brad Faulk with 76.5”

With a 23.25" trout is Joey Vick.

Longest redfish winner

With a 15.75" redfish is Cory Laguna

First off I would like to thank @everyone for coming out and supporting the group and spending time on the water with great people. Also I'm glad to see more people coming to just fish also simply to get to know people and to learn more about how the tournaments work and to become a better fisherman. This tournament was a very close one. The 2nd thru 6th place was only 2.25” difference. Every person that came caught some trout.

The last tournament of the year will be at Vandemere on December 7th and this is a charity event were half the entries will go to charity. This is usually a great turnout with great payout and prizes. We will also have some additional prizes more then normal that were donated for the charity event.

8th Tournament - Vandamere, NC

Well, we had our final tournament of the year at Vandamere’s Casting Coastal Trout Tournament Charity Event.

Main tournament (4 longest trout)

1st – Jason Soper with 78"

2nd – Mike Santos with 74"

3rd – Garrett Bradley with 69.25”

Longest Trout winner

With a 24.25" trout is Jason Soper.

Longest redfish winner

With a 17.5" redfish is Kenny Davis.

I am also pleased to announce the winner of the trout series is Will Davis.

I would also like to give Cory Laguna congratulations on winning the prize for showing up to at least 6 of 8 events. There was 8 people in the running for this free prize.

First off, I would like to thank @everyone for coming out and supporting the group and the charity Event. I would like to say it was awesome to give $810 to Western NC Relief Efforts via Samaritan’s Purse. We had a total of 20 people that was there for the event.

It is always great spending time on the water with great people. Also, I'm glad to see more people coming to just fish also simply to get to know people and to learn more about how the tournaments work and to become a better fisherman.

With this being the last event of the year, the next one will be next year in February. We will be posting the new schedule for the 2026 tournaments by the end of the year.
