1st Tournament of the Year

​This is the first tournament of the Trout Series
Main tournament cost will be ($80.00)
1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for main tournament only.
Categories will be: Most accumulated inches from your 4 best trout! (Main)
LONGEST single trout (TWT) $10.00
LONGEST red fish (TWT) $10.00
There will also be another year long tournament for trout series/trail. It will consist of 6 tournaments. This will be based on a points system. You will get 5 points just for showing up and points for placement will be based on total LENGTH of 4 trout. At the end of the trail/series there will be prizes given out. Results will be posted after each tournament. At the end of the tournament, you will drop your lowest score. This tournament will cost a one time fee of $20 to allow more payout to multiple placements. If you do the membership you will automatically be in the trout series.
PFDs (lifejackets) must be worn at all times if fishing in the tournament. If you are seen without the PFD on you will be disqualified. If you need to remove clothing, please try to move to shallow water before taking off PFD to change clothes then please put it back on before returning to fishing.
This year we will not be doing the wrist band but going to an ID card that you will get a number on the day of the tournament. This card will need to be visible when you take the picture of your fish.
For ALL tournaments you must have a solid fixed measuring board or a folding board (one fold only). NO SLIDING boards will be allowed for tournaments. Your fish must be 12" or bigger to be eligible to go towards your total length.
Any fish longer than your board will only be counted for the length of your board so please try and have a 30" board or bigger. All fish length can be either pinch or no pinch your choice. Also length will be measured by ¼” min (not 1/8”).
The length will not be rounded up but rounded down to the nearest ¼”. The mouth of the fish must be closed also with nothing in the mouth that might obstruct it from being closed. The picture that will be used for measurement will have to show the whole fish with mouth shut and tail. If the mouth is not closed that Is an automatic deduction of 1 inch off that fish or disqualification decision is up to the judges. This rule is for all fish who's bottom jaw is longer than the top.
Captains meeting will be held 15 min before launch time!
All tournaments will start 30 minutes before Sunrise.
Deadline for sign-in will be at daylight.
Lines out will be at 2:00 pm
Weigh in will start at 2:30 pm
(Or as soon as everyone is off the water)
After 2:30 pm there will be 1 inch taken off per minute you are late on each category you are signed up for. After 15 min you will be DISQUALIFIED.
The weigh in station will not open up till 12 pm.
At weigh in please have your ID card and the fish you want to show. (we will take the first 3 or 4 fish you show so please have them organized. We wont have time to scroll through every single catch of the day)
If there is a tie during weigh ins then it will come down the longest fish if in main tournament if in TWT it be reviewed by the weigh in team again to look at which one is a little longer on the board (it will be a judgement call). If it is a true tie then both will be awarded 1st place and split the prizes.
**Anyone who is not staying for weigh ins MUST NOTIFY NATHAN PATE or MATT STASKELUNAS **
Artificial and live bait are both allowed!
NO LIVESCOPE ALLOWED
If you are able to make 6 out of the 8 tournaments, the 8th one being mandatory to be eligible, your name will be put into a drawing for an awesome prize from our sponsors!
There will be NO Outboards, Jon Boats or Row Boats. Trolling motors ARE allowed. KAYAKS and SUPs ONLY
Must follow ALL NC SAFETY regulations! And wildlife regulations. If these rules are violated you can be disqualified from the tournament.
You cannot fish the area with in 12 hours of the start of the tournament.
For any giveaways after awards you must be present to be eligible for any prizes.
